Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, MIT

About myself:  I am the X-Career Development Assistant Professor in the MIT EECS department and head the HCI Engineering Group at MIT CSAIL. I’m a Forbes 30 under 30 in ‘Science’ and have received several Best Paper and Honorable Mention Awards at the ACM CHI conferences for my work on personal fabrication. I’m regularly serving on the ACM CHI and UIST program committees and have been a member of the organizational team of ACM UIST in my roles as Student Volunteer Chair (2014), Student Innovation Contest Chair (2015), Poster Chair (2016/2017), and Demo Chair (2018). I have given more than 50 invited talks as an invited speaker at universities and research labs, such as MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, Harvard, CMU, Cornell, UW, ETH, Microsoft Research, Disney Research, and Adobe Research. I’m also a Co-Founder and General Co-Chair of the ACM SIGGRAPH Symposium on Computational Fabrication and the ACM SIGCHI Summer School on Computational Fabrication and Smart Matter.
